Admissions
Millbrae Montessori School offers a high-quality preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten program for children ages 3 through 6 years. We offer both morning and afternoon classes, full day and extended care, which is available until 6:00 pm. Flexible scheduling can be arranged with the director. Summer programs are open to enrollment for children ages 3 through 6 years. Applications are accepted throughout the school year.

1. School Tour Request Form
The first step of our admissions process is to submit an on-line request for school tour or call the school at (650) 588-2229 to arrange a date for your tour.
2. School Tour
The school tour is the next step of the application process and should be scheduled in advance. Tours last approximately half an hour, during which you will speak with the school Director, see various classrooms in session. We invite students applying to come to the school to spend some time in the classroom with a faculty member. There is no formal testing done, however students are observed interacting with other children as well as faculty members.
3. Application
Once you have attended a school tour and have decided to apply for admission to Millbrae Montessori School, you need to request for an Application. Application for admission to MMS may be submitted at any time during the calendar year. Consideration for the class will be on a space-available basis. The class is limited to a maximum of 24 students with a ratio of 1:8. When a class is filled, applicants can request to be placed on the waiting list.
4. Acceptance
At MMS, our admission policy has been shaped in harmony with the Montessori approach. Students and staff are accepted regardless or race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Admissions decisions will be sent to families within 10 working days of the application, you will be notified of the decision by mail. To take up the offer of a place, you should submit the $100.00 Registration Fee with your application form. This fee must be paid before the due date stated on the invoice accompanying the acceptance letter. The Registration Fee will not be refunded if you later elect not to enroll your child at MMS.
5. Mid-year Admissions
Parents who wish to start in the middle of the academic year, may be admitted as openings become available. For mid-year admissions, the Registration Fee and the Tuition as described in the Fee Policy must be received before the child’s first day of school. The Registration Fee will not be refunded if you later elect not to enroll your child at MMS.
